Nantwich accountant, Lauren Griffin, has just passed the prestigious Chartered Accountant (ACA) exams supported by our team here at chartered accountancy firm, Afford Bond.
Lauren (24) pictured, who joined the firm straight from Malbank Sixth Form College, 6 years ago and is now a senior accountant, said: “I’m absolutely delighted. There’s no denying it was a lot of hard work to pass 12 separate exams, especially during a pandemic, but it was worth it.
“I’ve received great support from colleagues and the Directors have encouraged me throughout. One of the aspects I enjoyed most was my ‘real life’ experience working with local businesses as I progressed through my training and I’m proud now to be a Chartered Accountant.”
Afford Bond Director, Paul Edwards, said: “With the world of business continually evolving and as the traditional and digital meet, we’re working to combine Afford Bond’s commercial history with an uncompromising focus on the future. Lauren has a great work ethic – it’s not easy to pass these exams first time. The firm will now support her – as we do others – as she completes the next level.”
Mentoring the next generation is part of Afford Bond’s commitment to the future. Success is based on helping not just businesses prosper, but staff too. It enhances Afford Bond’s wide range of services and expertise to all clients.
“Our work is all about establishing long-term relationships and professional integrity,” said Paul Edwards, “these things are at the very heart of Afford Bond’s business.”
In her spare time, Lauren (who has just purchased her first home) enjoys watching her brother play ice hockey for Leeds, interior design, and baking anything which involves chocolate!
